Led by Executive Chef Dylan Benoit, YARA’s menu embraces the Nikkei tradition, featuring top quality steaks and game meats, including Wagyu and several dry-aged steaks, while utilizing the abundance of fresh local fish. The Phillip and Patricia Frost Museum of Science opened last month and has quickly become Miami’s hottest cultural destination!

Join the Frost Science’s communications team at a special breakfast event to learn more about the organization’s grand opening PR strategy. Moderated by PRSA Miami member and Arsht Center VP of Communications, Suzette Espinosa Fuentes, the event will feature a presentation and panel discussion including: Joseph Quiñones, Director of Marketing & Communications; Paola Villanueva Ortega, Public Relations Manager; and Ashley Jimenez-Gonzalez, VP of Carma Connected.

Event timeline:

  • 9 am – Introduction, panel discussion and Q&A
  • 10 am – Tour/Museum Day Pass

Communications In a World of Chaos, Content and Fake News: Experiences from a battle tested strategist and spokesman

Ben Porrittserved as a spokesman in the McCain-Palin campaign during the 2008 United States presidential election. Porritt is the co-founder and president of Outside Eyes, a consulting firm specializing in corporate strategy and crisis management. Porritt has served as a regular on-air contributor for MSNBC and FOX and is a speaker at corporate events, academic institutions, and business forums across the country.

In a career that has spanned the top levels of politics and Corporate America, Ben Porritt has counseled and developed strategies for national campaigns both corporate and political.

Porritt served on three presidential campaigns including 2012, 2008 and 2004. Porritt was a senior advisor to Ambassador Jon Huntsman in 2012 and a public face of the McCain-Palin campaign, serving as a national spokesman and senior advisor to the candidates during the 2008 presidential election. In 2004, Porritt served as a regional campaign spokesperson for key target states.

Porritt is a partner of Outside Eyes, a branding and marketing agency located in South Florida with a national presence. As a partner of Outside Eyes, Porritt works with companies and brands of varying sizes, advising them on corporate strategy ranging from employee engagement and consumer advertising, to brand development and crisis management.

Prior to joining Outside Eyes, Porritt worked for President George W. Bush as a campaign spokesman and as the Press Secretary to the United States House Majority Leader, a position defined by the New York Times as the third most difficult in Washington, DC. As Press Secretary, Porritt helped communicate the strategic course for the Republican Party, focusing the party’s message on legislation and critical political issues. Porritt worked in the West Wing of the White House in 2002-03.

Porritt earned a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Southern California and a Bachelors of Science in Political Science and History from Bradley University. Porritt is originally from Danville, IL and currently resides in South Florida.
