Jenny Mackie has been named director of marketing at Westside Regional Medical Center. She previously was at Broward Health Medical Center in Fort Lauderdale, where she has been the patient-experience manager and interim marketing manager. Mackie has a bachelor’s in public relations from the University of Florida.
▪ Lourdes Mateo de Acosta has been named senior vice president of communications. She founded de la Group Public Relations and has also been executive vice president and partner at H+M Communications.
▪ Michelle Valdivia Ayala has been named account director. She previously was an independent contractor in marketing communications and public relations. Valdivia Ayala has a bachelor’s in public relations and psychology from Barry University.
▪ Ana Echenique has been named account manager. She previously was a senior account executive at FleishmanHillard. Echenique has a bachelor’s in integrated marketing communication from Duquesne University and a master’s in public communication from Drexel University.
Sam Rodriguez has been named creative director at RockOrange in Miami. He comes from the creative marketing firm kabookaboo, where he was creative director. Rodriguez is a graduate of Miami’s Institute of Art and Design.
Name: Alejandro “Alex” A. Dominguez
New job: Director of External Affairs, South & Southwest Florida for AT&T. Dominguez will be based in Miami and lead a team that is responsible for representing AT&T with local governments in South and Southwest Florida along with state officials in Tallahassee.
Previously: AT&T’s regional director external affairs Miami-Dade County.
Also: He is a member of the HistoryMiami Board of Trustees; the Florida International University Engagement Advisory Council; the Regional Council of the Hispanic Business Initiative Fund; and Leadership Florida Connect Class 6.
Education: Bachelor’s in psychology from FIU; master’s in public administration from Florida State University.
