Palm Beach Post Journalist Leslie Streeter to be Honored by Association for Women in Communications on March 21st at the Blue in Boca Raton Resort & Club
Boca Raton, Florida – Great journalists write from the heart and Palm Beach Post reporter Leslie Streeter serves as the epitome of leading by example. Streeter is to be honored on Monday, March 21st from 5:30 -8:30 p.m. by two south Florida organizations, the Association for Women in Communications South Florida Chapter and the South Florida Public Relations Network, for her contributions to the coverage of news and events in Palm Beach County.
A native of Baltimore and a graduate of the University of Maryland, Leslie began her career at The Miami Times, a weekly serving the black community in that city. She then worked for eight years at the York Dispatch/Sunday News in York, Pennsylvania.
Leslie has spent most of her career as a features writer, specializing in entertainment including movies, television, music, celebrity, and pop culture. She has worked at the Palm Beach Post since 2002. As it says in her staff bio, “if it’s about music, movies, nightlife, food, drinks, TV, books, weird celebrity hijinks, or something that’s fun, she’s probably got something to say about it.”
Less than a year ago, Leslie lost the love of her life, husband Scott Zervitz. Today, she candidly shares her journey through times of love, loss and widowhood. Leslie’s words give voice to show endurance and inspire others. Along with her daily reports of all the myriad of things to see, do, and experience in Palm Beach County.
“We are delighted to welcome Leslie to our fabulous venue in celebration of her being honored,” said Roberto Colombi General Manager for The Blue. Tonya Scholz, president of the Association for Women in Communications South Florida Chapter said that Columbi has generously sponsored and hosted monthly events for her organization and will provide guests with tastings from Chef Christie Tenaud’s fine cuisine. Guest will also enjoy Happy Hour prices food and drinks.
Try to make it on time; the sunset view at The Blue is breathtaking from the top floor of a 27-story tower at Boca Resort.
