Vanessa Fernandez has been appointed Director of Marketing at Casa de Campo in La Romana, Dominican Republic

Casa de Campo – the 7,000-acre luxury resort in La Romana, Dominican Republic – is pleased to announce the appointment of Vanessa Fernandez to Director of Marketing. In this role, Fernandez will be responsible for the Public Relations, Marketing, and development strategies including researching and securing strategic partnerships, special events and sponsorships at Casa de Campo. Based out of Miami, Florida, Fernandez has more than 15 years of Public Relations, Marketing and Event Planning experience in the hospitality industry and brings a unique and effective management style to the legendary Caribbean destination with a focus on forward-thinking concepts, creativity and networking.

Fernandez joins the Casa de Campo team with a strong Public Relations background, previously serving as the Public Relations Manager at The Palms Hotel & Spa in Miami Beach, Florida from 2010-2013, and most recently at Meliá Hotels International in Miami, Florida, where she served as the Public Relations and Marketing Manager since 2013. Fernandez holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Advertising & Public Relations and Bachelor of Arts degree in Interpersonal Communications from the University of Central Florida in Orlando, Florida – and is fluent in both English and Spanish.

Jessica Milton has been appointed Regional Director of Public Relations, Florida atBenchmark Hospitality in Miami – FL, USA

Benchmark Hospitality International has named Jessica Milton regional director of public relations-Florida. John Davies, Benchmark’s vice president of marketing, made the announcement.Jessica Milton comes to BenchmarkHospitality International with 12 years of public relations experience, including time invested within the hospitality and travel industries. She most recently served as senior director for the Miami office of the New York City-based communications agency, Harrison & Shriftman. In this position, Ms. Milton worked on high profile hotel launches in Miami, Puerto Rico, and New York. Additionally, she has worked on projects for major media brands including Elle Decor and harper’s BAZAAR, fashion labels Chanel and Prada, and multi-layered events like the World Golf Championships-Cadillac Championship.

Earlier in her career, Jessica Milton was based in New York City working with the top entertainment agencies Rogers & Cowan and Bragman Nyman Cafarelli (now PMK/BNC), where she handled events, media relations, and celebrity seeding campaigns for a variety of lifestyle clients. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Miami and a professional certificate in journalism from New York University.
